  • Bryan Hughes - Chairman

    Bryan Hughes was appointed Board Chairman of Xplore Mining on August 1, 2011.

    Bryan is Managing Director of Pitcher Partners Perth; a full service chartered accounting firm. Bryan has extensive mining and resources experience over the last 30 years. In that time Bryan has overseen significant mining and resource projects within Australia and internationally. Bryan has held strategic positions in the commencement of projects that have gone on to underpin listed companies with market capitalisation of many billions of dollars. Bryan’s skill sets incorporate extensive operational experience together with strategic analysis and negotiation expertise.

  • Surrender Ncube - Exploration Director

    B.Sc. Min. Science (Geology), M.Sc. Industrial Mineralogy

    Surrender Ncube is a qualified mineralogy and exploration mining geologist who resides in Zimbabwe. He has more than 30 years’ experience in all aspects of mining, geology, metallurgy and management, and was instrumental in organising several successful Greenfield projects in several African countries.

    For seven years Surrender was the Chief Minerals Development Officer for the Ministry of Mines and for six years was the principal mine geologist for the Zimbabwe Geological Survey responsible for geological mapping, echnical services to miners, monitoring mineral exploration, producing mineral resources maps, geoscientific data compilation and more.  More recently he was the Geologist / Geotechnical officer for Palabora Mining a subsidiary of Rio Tinto PLC.

  • Wayne Hughes - Commercial Director

    MBA

    Wayne Hughes has an extensive corporate background. Wayne has a solid background in mining having begun his career working in numerous projects in the goldfields in the mid 80′s. He has formed numerous start-up companies, served in senior management positions, and owned and operated several enterprises, including the Titan group of companies which he founded in 2005 and is now one of Australia’s fastest growing cloud computing and online marketing companies.

    Wayne completed his MBA at the University of Western Australia in 2004, specialising in Strategic Management.

  • Barry Epstein - Director, Media & Investor Relations

    Barry Epstein is a media and investor relations and marketing expert with more than 30 years international, national and local experience.  Barry was listed in ‘Who’s Who in Business in WA’ for two consecutive years, and was a senior manager with a Fortune 500 company in the USA, where he was directly responsible for media relations and marketing communications.

    Mr Epstein has successfully delivered an array of media, investor and marketing services to many listed and privately held Australian companies across several sectors including mining, construction and others.
